I was wandering through the blog on a...Morning Zoo. I was wandering through the blog on a whim and ran across this one again. I think that this would be a good place to loose yourself this year. It will peak your interest, after you finish the Game of Thrones on your Kobo, and give you something to focus on. The tragedy that just happened will take some time to get to a dull roar and this may help beat it down.
As for what I am reading, as you know I finished book 11 of the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan, at your house and I purchased the next 2 the other day. They didn't have the 14th and last book so I will return and get it when I finish these two and the one I am reading. It turns out he died suddenly from a heart attack after writing book 11 and another author has taken up the task of finishing the series. That explains the time in between and how I didn't remember that the series didn't end. I didn't realize it had been that long since I had read it the first time.
As for rereads.... I reread the Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings every 2-3 years. The next time I will write notes for you as I go through, so I remember all that is wrong with the movies : ) I also like Terry Brooks Shannara series. Guy Gavriel Kay is awesome so I reread all the ones I have from him, like the Fianovar series.
Otherwise, I read whatever comes to hand. I love the second hand bookstore and buy a bag of books when I run out. The library is great here, as we can order a book from anywhere in the province and have it ready to pick up at the library in my village. My only problem with that is that life is to busy (and I feel guilty reading during the day, and I have issues with sitting still during day light hours) so most of the time it takes longer than the 3 weeks plus a renew or tow to finish and I hate paying late fees. Hence I have been rereading the series I am on and then I don't have to worry about the book falling out of my hands at midnight when I go to bed.
Anyway... thinking of you tons and sending loads of hugs!
Red Bear XORed Bearhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09035175929493178830noreply@blogger.com
